“Had the people, during the Revolution, a suspicion of any attempt to War against Christianity, that Revolution would have been strangled in its cradle.” Congress: House Judiciary Committee, 1854

This God and Country website is a comprehensive study in the whole scope of liberty - personal, spiritual, and civil.
Visit it often and study it attentively for a clear understanding of these matters, including our federal government's present day War against Christianity.
The civil government of the United States is established in the principles of civil government recorded in the Holy Bible. This truth is verified by the many statements of America's Founding Fathers contained in many pages of this website, particularly page We Hold These Truths, a free book downloadable from this website. All the fundamental foundation principles of our civil government are clearly set forth in our Declaration of Independence, presented with analysis on page America's Founding Documents.
First and foremost is your personal spiritual liberty. You can be free indeed.
Free Indeed: The Bible, John 8: 31-36
Then said Jesus ". . . If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed;
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed."
The Christian and the Law: The fruit of the Spirit is
Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance:
against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

P.S. The greatest liberty of all is that personal freedom of spirit and soul - the burden, bondage, and guilt of sin having been lifted by repentance and Salvation by Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9
Likewise the civil liberties that blessed us for so long are based in the Founding Father's adherence to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and/or their Christian worldview. Their many written statements make this truth very clear.
For by him (Jesus Christ) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: (including civil governments) all things were created by him, and for him: Galatians 1:16
Giving thanks unto the Father, which has made us (who are born again, see below) meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son (Jesus Christ): In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. . . And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell; Galatians 1:12-19
Reject Jesus Christ personally and you can have no real Spiritual Liberty.
Reject Jesus Christ officially and there can be no real Civil Liberty.
To him this website is dedicated, with prayerful expectation that revival of the Church, national repentance, and return to the Faith of our Fathers will see A Return to Liberty, so "that government of the People, by the People, for the People shall not perish from the earth."

Do you want to be free indeed? Read on to learn how.
What must I do to be Saved?
“You must be born again. Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jesus Christ From the Bible, John 3:1-8
What does it mean being “born again?”
Answer: . . if any man be in Christ, (born again) he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Salvation is not a do-it-yourself project; not a self-improvement course; not merely a mental assent to a truth; not simply becoming a member of a church; not “a better you.”
Being “born again” is a very real divine work in you, by which God forgives, pardons, and removes the load of sin from you, and places a measure of his Holy Spirit within your spirit.
You will indeed be “a new creature” in Christ Jesus
How can I be “born again” and made a “new creature” in Christ Jesus.
Answer: . . . by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
It cannot be overemphasized, We cannot save ourselves.
Grace is in God’s nature. Grace is a free gift offered to all, unearned, unmerited. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, …. but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, (Jesus Christ) that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
So Salvation is in God’s hand freely offered to all who will believe, and receive Jesus Christ through Faith.
Question: How can I get Faith?
Answer: Faith also is a gift of God. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 As we hear the Word of God (the Holy Bible) preached, taught, shared, or simply by reading the few verses written here, the Holy Spirit of God lovingly convicts us of our sins. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 Along with Holy Spirit conviction comes enough Faith to either receive or reject Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord.
To receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of your life assures the best life here and eternal life in Heaven. To reject Jesus Christ assures eternity in Hell. “…. for there is none other name under heaven . . . whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
How can I be “born again” and made a “new creature” in Christ Jesus?
Philipian Jailor: Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
And they (Paul and Silas) spoke unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, and your house. Acts 16:30-32
Paul the Apostle by inspiration of the Holy Spirit: . . . . if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:9-10,13
We are not saved by doing good works; but to be “born again” does require that we do something, so that God can do something in us. And we do this sincerely from our heart with our mouth.
What can I do to be Saved ?
If you truly believe these things and are ready to commit your life to Jesus Christ,
Turn your mind sincerely toward God; and from your heart pray aloud your own prayer like this:
Father God in Heaven I believe that Jesus Christ is your only begotten Son; that he died on a cross to pay my debt of Sin; that you raised him from the dead; and that he lives forevermore; that he is now in Heaven making intercession for me.
I confess that I am a Sinner in need of a Savior, and that Jesus Christ alone can save me. Right now I repent of my sins; I reject and turn away from my sins; and I pray that you will forgive me my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.
Right now I receive Jesus Christ and the pardon he bought for me on the Cross. I pledge myself to Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord of my life.
I will be baptized in water, as Jesus commanded, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; and I will confess Jesus Christ before the world.
Right now I receive your Holy Spirit into my spirit and believe with all my heart that you have forgiven my sins and are making me a new creature in Christ Jesus.
Now thank God that you are saved and let his peace and joy fill your heart.
I owed a debt I could not pay;
He paid a debt he did not owe.
I needed someone to wash my sins away.
And now I sing a brand new song, Amazing Grace.
Christ Jesus paid a debt that I could never pay.
Now that I am born again, how do I live my life for Jesus Christ?
Let one of Jesus’ disciples explain this: In your Bible study 1 Peter Chapter 2 and pray for understanding of it. The following notes in blue will help with your understanding:
(from 1 Peter Chapter 2) . . . . laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, (stop doing the sinful things you used to do. This is done by continuing to appropriate the power of the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the Cross by which you are saved. The Holy Spirit will enable you to do this if you continue to do the following:)
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, [Hunger for the Word of God as a baby craves milk. Praying for the Holy Spirit to teach you, read and study your Bible every day. Start with Genesis chapter 1 along with The Gospel According to John chapter 1.
Next finish Genesis and John, read daily in the Psalms, (learn to praise and worship God) and in the Proverbs (for godly wisdom) Go to the New Testament. Read and study it through.)]
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, (After your introductory reading of the Word of God, you are ready to commit to reading through the entire Bible, Genesis through Revelation, once every year.)
that you may grow thereby:
(. . . . grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18)
If so be you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. (You have)
. . . . that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;
(Let every thing that has breath praise the Lord. Read Psalm 150)
Overcoming temptation.
Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
1 Peter 2:11 Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 How?
The power of praise: […. You are holy, O thou that inhabits the praises of Israel (God’s people)]. When you are born again you are born into the family of God. Psalm 22:3 Memorize Psalm 150 and when tempted to sin, praise, praise, praise the Lord, in word, in song, in worship. God inhabits the praises of his people; Satan will not stay in the presence of God; and you will be released from his power.]
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus Christ) and the word of their testimony. . . Revelation 12:11 Understand that it is by the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the Cross that you are saved. Likewise it is by the Spirit of Christ within the believer, applying the power of the shed blood of Jesus Christ that we can always overcome the tempter. (Satan)
Under the blood, the precious blood,
Under the cleansing, healing flood;
Keep me, Savior, from day to day;
Under the precious blood.
You don't have to be overcome by the power of temptation; . . . "because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." 1 John 4:4
But what if I am?
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:8-9
Take courage. Don't give up. Confess your sin, receive God's forgiveness and restoration. Keep up those things instructed above; and the power of temptation will grow weaker and weaker. And the power of God within you will become stronger and stronger.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2
What else?
Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles (all unbelievers): that . . . . they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
(By your God-given honesty, integrity, godly lifestyle and sharing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, be a soul winner for Jesus.)
What else?
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25
You will always need the support of other believers for fellowship in the Lord; for instruction in the Word of God; for communal prayer, praise, and worship; for communal good works in your community.

From Philippians Chapter Four.
. . . . My brethren . . . . stand fast in the Lord. . . . Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
